The biggest fact that we at Fotozone have realized is that wedding photographers are one of the blessed souls on this earth to take part in countless wedding occasions and be a part of the goodness and be in the bubble of heartfelt blessings!
Each wedding is unique, especially the colours that a Tamil Brahmin wedding photography can capture is immense! This wedding of Sukruti and Pranav held at Rajalakshmi Kalyana Mandapam Velachery was no less!
We were all set and were on time to capture some candid moments and looks shared by the shy bride and groom at the Nichchaya Thamboolam ceremony where the families exchange clothes, fruits and gift articles. Since this was a relaxed environment, candid wedding photography majorly came into play and we could get some amazing shots.
The most striking event of that day was the Maappillai Azhaippu, meaning, inviting the groom into the mandapam. This was done with such pomp and style where the groom rolled in style in a Jaguar car, complete with the arousing rhythms of the traditional Kerala Chenda Melam and fire crackers bursting. This was one of the dashing moments setting the tone for the glitzy evening.
The reception was a classy set up where the bride and groom were dressed in shades of royal blue. Special mention goes to the bride’s outfit which was truly unique, sophisticated and made her look truly like a princess that evening! We, as wedding photographers are delighted when the stage backdrop, the lighting, the couple’s attire and make up gel well together. We had a field day, capturing some really amazing pictures from the reception evening.
Day 2 being the Muhurtham, dawned early and bright, with preparations on foot according to Tamil Brahmin rituals. We could get detailed shots of the bridal jewellery and sari and some beautiful shots of the bride after she was ready.
The Maalai maatral and Oonjal rituals of the Tamil Brahmin wedding bring out the most candid and natural expressions out of everyone, giving candid wedding photographers enough subjects to capture these reactions! Here we have complied our most favourite pictures of the couple and their relatives refereeing the Maalai maatral match and that of the couple swinging leisurely on the Oonjal.
As per the Tamil Brahmin wedding rituals, all the fun and laughter beautifully culminated in the highly emotional point of the day, being the maangalya dhaaranam, or the tying of the three knots, denoting the legitimation of the marriage. The scene lent a natural dramatization, with the akshadhai and flower petals being strewn on the couple during this auspicious moment. This is always a winner shot for wedding photographers!
Tamil Brahmin wedding photography is a very special experience for us and too much of it is also never enough for us! Weddings do that to you!
