Foto Zone has been around in the photography business for more than two decades. Every time we go for a Outdoor Family PhotoShoot, we can’t help but admire the sense of joy the people we photograph – carry on their faces. From people to products, from nature to abstract – every subject has its own way of expressing its joy.
“Photographing people is indeed a sheer joy, but photographing families is far more cherubic, perhaps the second best thing next to baby photography,” says Santhosh Raj, Founder, and Senior Photographer, Foto Zone.
Family portraits have always been famous in India. Remember those stunning black and white portraits of our ancestors shot in a rather artistic background and in a studio set up? Besides being a record in history, family portraits also showcase the kinda art scene that existed around that period. Hence we have had an elaborate studio set up with carved chairs for family portraits during the early 1900s to 1950s and eventually the retro phase saw two-seaters for couples and wooden horses for children and the backdrop also changed to a far more colourful range – from the beach to nature or even some fancy international destination.

This is something that the world certainly needs right now because of the endless chaos and damage we have done to nature. People have organically moved from being elaborate to minimalistic and that shows even in photography. Hence in order to cater to the evolving needs, we ensure the following:
To summarise, family group photos are a lot of fun and if you get creative enough – besides ensuring to get those traditional portraits, one has a lot of scope for improvisation and creativity!
